Summer Party at Magazine London

An annual company update and summer party for 420 property industry employees at Magazine London.

Summer Party

In September, 420 employees from the property industry soaked up the last of the summer sun at our venue Magazine London, for their summer party and annual company update. The event also saw them celebrate a big global rebrand.

The afternoon began with a drinks and canapé reception, where attendees were welcomed with an impressive Adagio act. Following that, guests attended an engaging presentation, before being treated to a mesmerising silks performance at the conclusion of the conference. The remainder of the afternoon and evening were accompanied by a dynamic mix of saxophone players on the terrace, a DJ, and a beatbox trio. Guests also had the option to have their fortunes told or add a touch of sparkle to their outfits with a glitter artist on hand.

Regarding Smart’s involvement in the event, Moving Venue provided a delightful array of catering, which included a mixture of hot and cold canapés, a BBQ station and a variety of small plates. Our Smart Venues team oversaw the venue management and organized additional entertainment for the client, including the beatbox and acrobatic acts.

A particular highlight of the day included the temporary swimming pool added to the terrace, where guests could dip their toes whilst sipping on ice-cold drinks. This addition to the venue was beautifully complemented by the breathtaking view of Canary Wharf across the river, enhanced by the golden summer sunset.

I just personally wanted to say a huge thank you for supporting us and making the event such a huge success. As you know this new global re-brand was so important to the CEO, CFO and all of their employees and we were constantly told by guests throughout the event that it was one of their best ever events. The food was as outstanding as it was at the tasting, and the firepits were such an added bonus – theatrical, engaging, and delicious! We will definitely be booking these with you for other events. The entertainment was stunning and high end and all of your staff, from security, to first aid, to waiting staff were incredibly nice to work with. It was a huge team effort to turn this around in such short notice and we are all so grateful to you for making it happen. Please pass on our huge thanks to your chefs, operations team and everyone involved. It really was incredible.
